9×12″ Watercolor Painting by Jamie Wilke
I have lived in Colorado for 20 years, and this was the first year I traveled through Wyoming in a car. We passed through this secluded beautify state on our way to South Dakota this summer.
I painted this watercolor from a roadside photo that I took during the car ride. The landscape was serene and uncluttered. After a hurried rush of packing for this long family road trip, it was a welcome relief to drive through miles and miles of this beautiful area of the country. The grasslands, vast pastures, and distant mountain ranges gave me a sense of calm. I hope you enjoy the simplicity of this scene as much as I did.
