Monument Rock can only be seen if you hike up to it. It’s a popular destination for families hiking, mountain bikers and dog walkers. There are many small parking spots on Mount Herman Road that access trails that lead to this rock and pond. The bench on the hill is also a long-time staple to this location, but much less permanent than the rock! I hope you enjoy my painting of this place that is special to so many people in the Tri Lakes Area (Monument, Palmer Lake and Woodmoor) of Colorado.
