ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
This is my oil painting reproduction of a painting titled “Coming to the Call 1905” by Western American master artist Frederic Remington. I learned a lot in this one: simplicity of brush work, a well thought out focal point, values and color. I just love these colors! And the moose and birch bark canoe! Artistic liberty: I left out the hunter in the canoe aiming at the moose with his rifle. Only a happy and alive moose in my version of this painting!
