Colorado Mountain-Side Wildflowers
California Poppies and Bachelor Buttons were prominent flowers in a wildflower field that my family and I planted on a hillside next to my house in Palmer Lake, CO. The orange and yellow poppies are closed in the morning and open in the full sun every day. A few baby poppy buds were almost ready to bloom but still green. The contrasting bachelor buttons mixed in made the poppies that much more beautiful. These flowers seemed to move and talk with each other, like they were at a party or a family gathering.
